PHYSICAL MODERN all levels

Every Friday evening from 18.00-19.30

In this class we work on the basic principles of what we call now Physical Modern. The fundaments have their roots in floor work, contact-partnering and capoeira principles. Through the training and understanding of basic body coordination, flow, falling, rolling, catching and challenge we build strong solo and duo/group qualities. Jasper and Mojra teach together, which creates opportunity to take more time for direct individual guidance, while training in a group. This class will improve your coordination and musicality, strength, whilst working with inverted- and off balance situations.

Each class exists out of warm up and technical exercises, after which the skills are further developed through challenging combo's and/or improvisation scores. This way each dancer can build up new skills and develop his/her own style of moving and working with others.

This class is great for everyone, who likes to move. We are opened to creative people from other disciplines, who would like to work more with their bodies or search for new inspiration and skills to integrate in their work. For this class we warmly suggest you a regular participation for a slow build-up.

We value an open and social attitude, combined with the curiosity to (new) possibilities to be moved, dance, create and have fun together.
