CLASS DESCRIPTION
Introduction to the different styles of music. Children will learn the basics of Jazz movement (kick ball change, step ball change, prep to pirouettes) etc. every week. Use and express rhythm and movement in the music through games and across the floor exercises. In short : Learn to listen, tell and express movement on the music, in a very precise way. Strong emphasis on alignment and positioning but keeping it fun is my aim in the class!!!

BIO PATMOVES
From Dutch and Swiss Nationality, Born and raised in Lausanne (Switzerland), I started taking classes at a young age in Jazz dance (Luigi Techique) & as an adult I followed classes with Mia Michels (reknowned Choreografer STYCD, USA) followed by Classical Ballet as an Amateur danser!.

Since 2004, I have been focussing on Streetdance and hiphop (old school techniques) to pass it on to my students.

In 2004 is when I precisely started teaching children. I have a lot of experience in teaching kids from 4j+ until 18j+. I have thought at dance schools, Fitness centers and one Youth Theater School in Amsterdam and beyond. My heart lays with children, they give me the energy and I give it back to them through my own knowledge and passion of dance!!.

From 2006 until 2009, I have been actively training a group of children 12j+ doing events and competitions in the Netherlands, they have won many prizes. Besides, I judge on Hiphop Competitions, Nationally and Internationally for the biggest bond in the Netherlands. My judging experience has taught me to look at dancing and choreography in Streetdance, at a semi-professional level.
